Somerset Ridge Wins 2007 Jefferson Cup Awards!
For the third consecutive year, Somerset Ridge was invited to participate in the prestigious Jefferson Cup Invitational wine competition, known as "the Olympics of wine competitions." We submitted four of our wines in December 2007 and all four garnered awards from the professional judging panel.
This year our 2005 Ruby Red, 2006 Chardonel and Ruby Port all received awards of merit, and our Ambrosia won a coveted "Example of American Greatness" award!
Buffalo Red wins Best Red Wine at Kansas State Fair
The
Kansas Department of Commerce gathered wines from all 13 Kansas
wineries for the third annual State Fair wine judging. Over 150
volunteer judges participated in the judging. When the dust had
cleared, our own Buffalo Red had come out on top as the peoples' choice
for the Best Red Wine!
