Thanks once again to all of our fabulous volunteers who helped bring in the 2005 harvest! We harvest all of our grapes by hand to maximize wine quality and we couldn't do it without our band of merry volunteers.
2005 was a good year for the grapes. We avoided most of the late frost problems that our fellow Kansas vineyards experienced and, like 2004, the growing season was cooler than usual. This resulted in a grapes with excellent fruit and complexity that are producing delicious, well-balanced wines.
Chef Kay once again created excellent vineyard meals and a great time was had by all!
